Sometimes it's not just physical.....

Sometimes the issue with our voice is more than just physical. Our voice is deeply linked with our confidence, our personality and even our past. The root cause of our vocal issue could stem from many things and our mental health can be a contributing or causal factor. Or perhaps the voice issue originated from something physical but is now causing a lot of stress, fear or even embarrassment. Perhaps you could benefit from speaking to someone who can help you work through your issue and help you find strategies to navigate through them.

Introducing Matt

Matt Cross is a High Intensity CBT therapist (cognitive behavioural therapy) and a registered MBCT teacher (mindfulness based cognitive therapy). He currently works for the NHS, alongside working privately.

"I combine evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness-based approaches and breathwork techniques drawn from my background in MBCT, yoga, and performance training.

Before qualifying as a CBT therapist, I spent over twenty years working as an actor and teacher in professional performing arts colleges, helping performers, lawyers, and other professionals develop confidence, presence, and authenticity under pressure.

My work now integrates mind and body — helping clients manage anxiety, stress, and performance-related challenges through practical cognitive tools, embodied awareness, and mindful breathing."
